What exactly is a 'live auto-updating' calendar?

Instead of downloading a static file, your calendar app subscribes to a URL. It checks that URL periodically and pulls down any changes like new fixture times, rescheduled matches, or knockout teams filling in. You don't have to do anything. Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook all support this.

How often does it update?

Our server pulls fresh data from the official source every hour. Your calendar app then checks in on its own schedule. Apple Calendar defaults to every hour, Google Calendar is more like every 8-24 hours. For knockout matches, set your calendar refresh to 'Every hour' if you want the fastest updates.

Why can't I just get a free all-teams calendar?

Because then your calendar is cluttered with 104 matches you don't care about. All-tournament calendars already exist. This is for people who want just their teams, cleanly, in one feed.

Question 4

What does the $1.99 cover exactly?

Accepted Answer

The $1.99 ($1.99) is only for multi-team calendars (two or more teams in one feed). Your first team is completely free. If you add more, one payment covers the whole 2026 tournament, group stage through the final on July 19. You can add or change your teams any time. Doesn't carry over to 2030, which will have its own fee. We'll email you when that starts.

Can I change my teams after subscribing?

Yep. Sign back in with your email and update your selections. Your calendar URL stays the same, so your calendar app picks up the changes on its next sync.

Question 6

What happens to knockout matches? I don't know who'll be playing in advance.

Accepted Answer

We include all knockout fixtures in your feed from the start, with placeholder team names (e.g. 'Winner Group A'). As the group stage concludes and teams are confirmed, those placeholders are replaced with real team names. Your calendar updates automatically.

Question 7

Does this work on Android / non-Apple devices?

Accepted Answer

Yep. Google Calendar on Android, Outlook on Windows and Android, Fantastical, Calendars 5, and others. Anything that supports ICS calendar feeds will work.

Question 8

What happens after the tournament ends?

Accepted Answer

Your calendar and match history stay accessible. The site will eventually move to World Cup 2030 qualifying content. We'll email you well before that happens.
